Shawarma Full Load-XL: The 600g Beast

The Lowdown

If you haven’t hit up Shawarma od Odessa yet, let me just say—you’re missing out. Tucked away on Świętego Rocha 8, right by Rondo Rataje, this joint has been a low-key spot for fresh, fire shawarma since day one. We rolled through to check out what’s happening on the menu, and our timing couldn’t have been better. They had just dropped a fresh batch of chicken, and when we say fresh, we mean always fresh—they whip up small batches each time to keep it that way. Respect.

The Sailor

The menu’s short, sweet, and to the point, with six solid options. We decided to go all in and tried three of them. Daniel, the co-owner, even swung by our table while we waited. Turns out, this guy has lived the sailor life—straight up traveling the globe. His favorite place? Madagascar, hands down. He even showed us some snaps of his journey while our food was getting prepped.

The Beast

Now, let’s get into the good stuff. First up, we tackled the Shawarma Full Load-XL. This beast clocks in at 600g and goes for 38 PLN. Picture this: chunks of juicy, perfectly grilled chicken wrapped in a soft lavash with kapusta pekińska (Chinese cabbage), Korean-style carrots, pickled mushrooms, gouda, fries, pickles, tomatoes, and their signature Odessa sauce. The flavor combo was wild—you’ve got the crunch from the veggies, the rich, creamy cheese, and that tangy sauce just tying it all together. This one’s for the big appetites or, honestly, split it with a homie, ‘cause it’s a monster.

The Cheesy

Next, we had to check out the Shawarma Cheese. At 400g for 30 PLN, this was straight up cheesy goodness. The same fresh chicken, lavash, and veggies, but the cheddar and gouda blend gave it that extra creamy hit. Every bite was cheesy perfection without overpowering the freshness of the chicken and veggies. If you’re a cheese head, this one’s gonna be your new go-to.

The Doggy

But we didn’t stop there. To mix it up, we grabbed the Hot Dog Cheese KingSize. Now, for 27 PLN, we weren’t expecting a whole lot, but this one hit different. Two solid-sized parówki (sausages) tucked into lavash with Korean carrots, fries (yup, fries inside), and that signature Odessa sauce. The fried chips inside were a surprising win—they added this crispy, salty crunch that balanced out the smoothness of the sausages and sauce. Not your average hot dog, for sure.

The Scoop

Before we bounced, Daniel dropped a little scoop on us about their logo. You see the guy posing on it? That’s no random dude—that’s Duke de Richelieu, the first mayor of Odessa back in 1805. So yeah, now you know!

Theres only one King!

Final thoughts? If you’re swinging by, go for the Shawarma Full Load-XL. Even if you split it between two, at 38 PLN, it’s a steal. The flavor, the size—total game-changer. We’ll definitely be back, and trust, you’ll wanna hit this spot too.
