73 children in Poznań are waiting for someone to take them under their roof!

There is a severe shortage of foster families in Poznań. Every year, hundreds of children are removed from harmful environments, but only a few return to their parents. Most end up in Children’s Houses, if space is available.

“Many young residents of Poznań are still waiting for new foster parents to provide safety, peace, and love,” says Jacek Jaśkowiak, president of Poznań. To address this, the city is offering additional support for foster families, including medical packages, housing support, and funding for sports and cultural activities.

Poznań has launched a campaign to attract potential foster parents, including a website to guide interested parties through the steps of foster parenting. Posters promoting foster care are displayed throughout the city. Foster families receive continuous support from a coordinator and assistance families.

An informational meeting for those interested in foster parenting will be held on August 24. For more information, contact the “Swoboda” Family Support Center at 61 648 60 49. Poznań’s children need your help. Consider becoming a foster parent and making a difference in a child’s life.
