We were lucky enough to stumble upon a recently opened Greek deli in Winiary, just a stone’s throw from Poznan Plaza Shopping Center. For those without a car, it’s only a few tram stops from the city center or a 10 PLN Uber ride! Siga Siga, which translates to “Slowly Slowly” in English, is the vision of Agnieszka. The idea for this Greek delicatessen came to her after a family vacation to Crete in 2021, which changed everything for them. Transitioning from urban stress to a sun-drenched place where life moved at a leisurely pace and the food was incredibly delicious and healthy was transformative.
Agnieszka tells us, “Cretans belong to one of the longest-living nations. This is due to their approach to life, wonderful, fresh food based on vegetables, fish and seafood, and lots of olive oil.” During their stay in Crete, they visited an olive press and were captivated by the Vassilakis family’s history, warmth, and above all, the taste of olive oil from their four-generation pressing plant.
They wanted to share their newfound passion for Greek products in Poland, leading to the creation of Siga Siga Shop. On a sunny day, you could easily imagine yourself in Greece, thanks to the charming blue tables and chairs outside.
They decided to convert the garage of their house into what we believe to be the only dedicated Greek deli in Poznan. With the help of her husband Marcin and two sons, Agnieszka’s dream came to life.
Inside her beautifully laid-out shop, you’ll always find her smiling and eager to share her knowledge with you. All the products you find in the Siga Siga store come from proven suppliers and are thoroughly tasted and evaluated before they are sold.
When it comes to the products, you’ll find a variety of Greek delights in house and even more on the online shop. Some of our favorites are the nutritious and delicious pistachios, high-quality truffles to elevate your dishes and the extra virgin olive oils sourced directly from Crete.
They also have a range of olives bursting with flavor and perfect for any meal, traditional Greek cheeses and creamy yogurts, sun-dried tomatoes packed with flavor and great for salads and cooking, and authentic Greek spices to add a Mediterranean flair to your meals.
If you are a fan of Greek food and even if you’ve never tried it before, Siga Siga is a must-visit place. The address is Siewna 9a, and they are open from Tuesday- Friday 12-18 and Saturday 9-12. You can contact them at +48 783 999 199. For those who prefer to shop online, visit their website at www.sigasigashop.pl.
