The Facts
Yo, this one hits different, and not in a good way. We’ve covered some messed-up stuff at Poznań Daily, but this? This is hands-down the darkest story we’ve ever had to write. Magdalena C. – remember that name only to curse it. This so-called “mother” stabbed her own daughter, little Zuzia, straight in the heart. Zuzia was just 3 years old. Three. Let that sink in. This monster took a kitchen knife and ended her baby’s life in cold blood. And for what? Because she was curious about death? Nah, fam. There’s no coming back from that.

The Crime That Defies Words
It all went down on May 4, 2021, in Poznań’s Łazarz district. Just before 11 a.m., the police got a frantic call about a stabbing. When they arrived, they found Zuzia clinging to life after her own mother had plunged a knife into her heart three times. She’d also tried to strangle her first. Zuzia made it to the hospital, but the damage was too severe. She died on the operating table. Let’s just call it what it is: pure evil.
A Mother’s Love? More Like a Mother’s Betrayal
The courts didn’t hold back, and rightfully so. Magdalena C. was sentenced to life imprisonment. Originally, they said she couldn’t even think about parole for 50 years. Then, some appeal nonsense shaved that down to 25. But let’s be clear—this woman should never breathe free air again. Ever. Judge Andrzej Stępka called her out for what she is. He didn’t sugarcoat it. “A mother is supposed to protect her child, even at the cost of her own life,” he said. And yet, this woman violated that sacred trust in the most vile way imaginable.

A Twisted Fascination with Death
What kind of person does this? According to her cellmate, Magdalena C. had some sick fascination with death and crime. She wanted to know what it felt like to kill. Are you serious? That’s not curiosity. That’s straight-up psychopathy. Experts looked into her mental state, and guess what? She wasn’t insane. She knew exactly what she was doing. This wasn’t some spur-of-the-moment madness. It was premeditated, calculated, and stretched out over time.
The “Worst Mother in the World”
t This case was closed behind locked doors, but the truth spilled out. Magdalena planned this. She plotted her daughter’s murder like it was some twisted science experiment. And when it was all said and done, the court didn’t mince words: she’s the worst mother in the world. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Justice Served? Maybe
The Supreme Court has upheld the life sentence. That means it’s final. She’s staying locked up, but the fact that she could even apply for parole in 25 years feels like an insult. Little Zuzia doesn’t get a second chance. Why should her killer?

Rest in Peace, Zuzia
Sweet angel, you didn’t deserve any of this. Poznań mourns you. We’ll remember your name long after your killer’s fades into obscurity. Rest easy now. We’ve got your back.
