Revamp: Make Your Own Jewellery in Poznań

Adrianna Smith-Baer swapped endless UX meetings for silver, creativity and a belief that jewellery should mean something. At Revamp, you don’t just buy the jewellery — you make it.

What were you doing before Revamp?

I spent years in UX design — including aaaaa lot of meetings that probably shouldn’t have happened… and a few that shouldn’t even have been emails. Jewellery, though, has always been part of me.

And Art Clay really becomes solid silver?

Yes! It’s made from recycled silver, including material recovered from old electronics. You shape it like clay, fire it, and what remains is 99.9% pure silver.

So I could walk in having never made anything and leave wearing my own ring?

Exactly. You design it, shape it and add your own details. I guide you through everything, and a few hours later you’re wearing something that didn’t exist before.

How many people tell you, “I’m not creative”?

About 90%. We’ve forgotten that creating with our hands is one of the most human things we can do.

Has anyone ever made something so ugly you’ve had to pretend you love it?

Never! Every piece carries someone’s time, creativity and emotions. That makes it beautiful.

Any pieces you’ll never forget?

A woman going through a difficult moment made a ring engraved with a reminder that everything would be okay. I’ve also had a couple make their engagement rings together. Being part of moments like that is incredibly special.

Why make something when you can buy jewellery in seconds online?

Because a mass-produced piece can’t carry the same story. When you create it yourself, you’re wearing a memory.

What’s next?

More people. More creating. More pieces with stories behind them.
