Locals Patrol Streets After Foreigners Brutally Attack Poles

Things got heated in Śrem and Kórnik, about 40 km from Poznan, after five foreigners reportedly jumped two Polish dudes near Lake Grzymisławskie on September 7. The fight left the Poles hospitalized, and people aren’t having it. Locals have hit the streets, rolling in patrol squads, trying to reclaim their sense of safety. The patrols are catching on and Sroda Wielkopolska, about 30 km from Poznan, has joined in the action with patrols of their own getting ever closer to Poznan.

According to the police, an Argentine and four Colombians were arrested, with one dude facing an attempted murder charge. The rest are out, but they’re still on the hook for brawling.

In response, citizen patrols have popped up across the towns. It’s not just guys out here either—women are joining in, trying to make sure no one messes with their neighborhoods again. The cops are trailing along, keeping an eye out but letting the patrols do their thing as long as they don’t break the law.

Locals have been sounding the alarm for a minute now about weird vibes in their towns. Foreigners have been hanging around promenades and beaches, reportedly harassing residents, especially women. Now, the community’s taken matters into their own hands with patriot Rafal Podejma as their leader.

The streets are buzzing, and while things haven’t fully popped off, this situation’s got everyone on edge. Cops are telling folks to let them handle it, but the people are making sure they’re out here, staying watchful. This isn’t going away anytime soon.
