Bite My Burek Is Blowing Up in Poznań. We Get It. They have got the price point spot on!

We get the hype.

Every now and then a new food spot lands in Poznań and suddenly everyone starts talking about it. Your friend mentions it. Instagram mentions it. That one person who somehow knows every new opening before it opens mentions it.

Right now, that place is Bite My Burek.

And honestly? We get the hype.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because the team behind Bite My Burek also featured in the recent Poznań Daily Spring Edition, which is currently available in over 100 cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars and other locations around the city.

A Quick reminder

For those who haven’t discovered burek yet, here’s the quick version.

Imagine layers of thin, flaky pastry wrapped around savoury fillings, baked until golden and crispy on the outside while staying soft and comforting in the middle. It’s the kind of food that has been feeding hungry people across the Balkans for generations. No gimmicks. No unnecessary foam. No deconstructed anything.

What we love most about Bite My Burek is that it doesn’t try too hard. Each burek is not formed perfectly each time!

The menu is refreshingly short. Duck. Beef. Cheese. Cheese and spinach.

That’s it.

No 47-page menu. No existential crisis trying to decide what to order. No waiter explaining the life story of a carrot.

Just pick a burek and get on with enjoying your day.

And then there are the prices.

At around 21–26 PLN, Bite My Burek might be one of the best-value new food openings in Poznań right now. Let’s be honest, some burgers in the city are now approaching the price of a small mortgage payment. Here you can actually eat well without checking your bank app afterwards. They have got the price point spot on!

You walk in thinking you’ll try one “just to see what the fuss is about.” Five minutes later you’re mentally planning your next visit and debating whether the duck or beef deserves the crown.

The pastry is crispy, rich and satisfying. The fillings are generous. The whole thing feels like proper street food should feel—fast, comforting and impossible to stop thinking about.

The venue itself follows the same philosophy. Small. Simple. Confident. No unnecessary distractions. The food is the main character here and it knows it.

So, is Bite My Burek actually worth the hype?

In a city where new food concepts often arrive wrapped in buzzwords and marketing campaigns, Bite My Burek is doing something different

It’s serving really good food at a fair price, which is not always the case nowadays (from the eater’s perspective).

Sometimes that’s all you need.

And if you’re wondering whether one burek will be enough, allow us to save you some time.

It won’t. You will be back!
