Brunch in Poznan
We spent yesterday at Hultaj in Jeżyce — sitting outside in their cozy garden setup, somewhere between brunch spot, creative café and neighbourhood hangout energy.
It’s the kind of place where you don’t rush anything. You just sit, eat, sip and let Jeżyce do its thing.

We tried a few of their signature dishes and drinks to see what the buzz is about.
Probably our favourite new brunch spot in the city — especially since the menu clearly moves away from classic breakfast plates you’ll find everywhere else. Instead, it leans fully into a more creative, all-day brunch identity.

The Grub
Cziki Cziki (52 PLN)
This was the bold one. A loaded, savoury plate built around slow-cooked beef in red wine sauce, served with beetroot-marinated elements, sweet potato purée, crispy capers and fresh herbs. Rich, deep flavours with that slow-cooked comfort in the background, but lifted by acidity and crunch so it never feels heavy.

Fiszgofer (46 PLN)
The lighter but still layered option. Potato waffle base with smoked salmon, kimchi mayo, whipped beetroot ricotta, dill salad and a touch of citrus-style brightness from preserved lemon notes. Creamy, smoky and slightly tangy — the kind of dish that keeps shifting flavour with every bite.

Drinks
We went for a mix of house-made refreshers:
Homemade kombucha (strawberry flavour)
Light, fizzy, slightly funky in the best way. Not overly sweet — more of a clean, refreshing sip that fits the garden setting perfectly.

Izokonik (20 PLN)
Their take on a functional lemonade-style drink — made with fermented citrus base (lemons and oranges), built to feel refreshing and energising rather than sugary. Crisp, sharp and ideal after food or post-workout vibes.

Our Take
Hultaj works because it doesn’t try to overdefine itself. It’s Jeżyce energy in food form — a bit creative, a bit chaotic, but still grounded in comfort. Sitting outside in the garden makes the whole experience feel slower, softer and more intentional.

Not just a café stop — more like a place you end up staying longer than planned.
Worth it for the food, but even more for the vibe.
