Yo Poznan!
Alright, listen up. For the first time ever, the Poznań Daily crew decided to do something we’ve never done before — actually look for a tour guide.
Yeah, you heard that right. A tour guide.
We figured, if people keep sliding into our DMs asking where to go, we might as well stop pretending we know everything and find someone who does.
We dove in. Deep.
What we didn’t expect? That Poznań is crawling with guides — like, way more than we thought. Everyone and their dog’s cousin seems to be a “local expert” these days. But here’s the catch — apparently, you don’t even need a diploma or license anymore to call yourself one. Wild.

So how do you filter out the real ones from the wannabes?
Easy — find the ones who were around back when being a guide actually meant something. The ones who hustled for that license before it became a hashtag.
That’s how we found Go2Poznań — and let’s just say, they had us at “hello.” We stalked their socials (in the name of journalism, obviously), slid into their DMs, and finally connected with the legend herself — Katarzyna Tymek, founder, licensed guide, and walking encyclopedia of all things Poznań.
Meet Katarzyna: Poznań’s OG Storyteller
Katarzyna’s been doing her thing since 2009 — leading tours, dropping history bombs, and turning random corners of the city into time machines.
She’s got degrees, languages, and street cred — German, English, Spanish — you name it, she can tell you why that building over there used to be a brewery in three different accents.

But what really makes her stand out?
She’s not your typical “follow the umbrella” guide. Her tours actually slap. She packs them with stories, jokes, and local legends that stick with you — the kind of stuff you actually want to tell your friends later, not just forget as soon as you hit Stary Rynek.

She’s also part of this squad called Grupa Przewodników po Poznaniu, organizing wild thematic walks — from underground tram rides to “beer history” tours (yeah, that’s a thing and yes, we’re 100% in).
Pick Your Vibe
You can pick your vibe — history geek, foodie, cyclist, or just someone who got lost looking for Zamek and ended up on the wrong tram.
Go2Poznań has a tour for all that. You can roll through Fort VII, cruise the city by electric car, hit a culinary route, or take part in a city minigame that’s part sightseeing, part scavenger hunt.
And if you’re feeling extra, there’s even a beer tour — history lesson with hops, we’re sold

But here’s what hit us — after living in Poznań for 20+ years, we realized we know nothing. Like, we can find the best kebab blindfolded, but ask us about the Piast Trail and we’ll probably say, “Is that a bike path?”
So yeah… we booked a tour. With Katarzyna. Because clearly, we need help.

Our Plan: Full Report Coming Soon
We’re rolling with her soon and promise to spill the tea (and maybe beer) after the tour. We’ve also got a full interview lined up — video, photos, behind-the-scenes chaos, the works. So stay locked in. If you can’t wait for our review and wanna see what the fuss is about, check her out on Instagram @go2poznan_cityguide
Or hit up her site if you still need convincing.
Just saying — you can wander around with Google Maps and call it “self-discovery,” or you can roll with Katarzyna and actually know what you’re looking at.
