Yo Poznan!
Remember when we told you about PITCA? That lowkey pizza spot hidden deep in the blocks of Osiedle Wichrowe Wzgórze? The place where we ditched Jeżyce and stumbled into a residential glow-u with cold brews, craft crusts, and that “grandma’s garden?

Well guess what…
We went back. And this time, we came hungry.
Vibes First
It was a blazing hot afternoon — the kind that makes you rethink jeans and crave cold drinks. PITCA’s tree-shaded garden was already calling our name before we even stepped inside. Total hidden gem.
We pulled up mid-afternoon, just before the early evening crowd, and who do we see? Jarek himself, co-owner, chilling and slicing. He waves us over like we’ve known each other for years.
“If you’re trying one today, go with the Pesto,” he says.
No hesitation. Chef’s pick.

The Pesto Pizza — Let’s Break It Down
Tomato sauce from Pelati tomatoes, Fior di latte mozzarella, Marinated zucchini, Fresh basil pesto, Dollops of creamy ricotta

The pesto isn’t just a drizzle — it’s green gold. Bright, nutty, with just enough garlic to slap your taste buds awake. Add in that soft ricotta cooling things down, the zucchini bringing a vinegary pop, and you’ve got flavor geometry happening on a thin, fired crust.
It’s light but satisfying — perfect for this heatwave season. I scoped the sauce list and locked onto the mango and mint — figured I’d roll with something bold. It turned out to be a wild card that just works. The mango gives you that mellow sweetness, and the mint follows up with a cool, clean finish.

The Aperol Spritz Hit the Spot
Of course, we needed a proper pairing. The Aperol Spritz came out with ice that actually snapped, not melted. Bitter orange balanced with just the right amount of prosecco sparkle — no weak pours here.
We kicked back in one of the garden loungers. Not the most ergonomic seat for a slice, but hey — comfort is overrated when the taste is right. 😎

The Final Slice
At 42 zł for a 32cm pizza, PITCA gives you top-tier ingredients, a chilled neighborhood setting, and serious passion behind the oven.
And if the owner’s favorite is the Pesto?
Yeah — you already know that’s what you’re ordering. I for one was purring like a cat, and just like a cat, I love my siesta!
