Hold Up… There’s a Wakeboarding Beach Paradise 20 Mins from Poznań?!

The Lowdown

Alright wave chasers, sunshine seekers and weekend warriors — we’re back with our next stop on the search for Poznań’s ultimate water sports escape.

We wanted a place that checks all the boxes:
✔️ Water sports
✔️ A legit beach to swim
✔️ Somewhere to grab food and a drink
✔️ And that sweet, sweet holiday vibe — without having to pack a suitcase or take a day off work.

Guess what? We found it

And it’s called Wake Spot in Owińska, just 20 minutes by train from the city center — four-minute walk from the station to full-blown summer paradise. We rolled up for a visit and met up with co-owner Paweł — total legend, chill energy, and clearly living the dream.

A Little Backstory (Because Dreams Start Somewhere)

Wake Spot isn’t some big corporate thing. It started back in the day in 2012 when Paweł and his schoolmate decided to go all in — borrowing cash from friends and family to build something epic from scratch to compare to their recent holidays together abroad. It started with one cable and a dream. Now? New investors and it’s a full-blown wake park.

Obstacles and Cables for All Levels

Whether you’re a first-timer trying to stay upright or a certified shredder pulling 180s and hitting rails, Wake Spot’s got your back. They’ve got chill beginner-friendly routes to pro-level setups with jumps, sliders, and kicker ramps that’ll make your GoPro footage pop. The staff is super helpful and down to coach you through it if you’re new — no judgment, just good energy and splashy wipeouts. Paid lessons are also available.

Chill-Out Zones with Deckchairs for Days

After your session (or if you’re just here for the vibes), you’ll find deckchairs scattered across the shoreline like it’s your own private beach club. Grab a cold drink, kick back, and melt into the moment. Whether you’re sunbathing, people-watching, or just listening to chill beats drifting from the bar, it’s got serious Ibiza energy — minus the flight and the price tag.

An Outdoor Hut Sauna Overlooking the Lake

This one’s a game-changer. Tucked near the water’s edge is a rustic wood-fired sauna cabin that looks like it was pulled straight out of a Nordic retreat. Book a session, step inside, and let the steam hit different while you stare out at the lake through the panoramic glass. Then jump into the cold water for that shock-your-soul kind of refresh. Pro tip: schedule your sauna sesh around sunset. Trust.

A Dope Bar and Food Spot (Handmade Pizza Dough and All!)

This ain’t your typical lakeside snack shack. The crew here makes their own pizza dough — like, real-deal handmade daily — and bakes it up fresh on the spot. Grab a slice (or a whole pie, we don’t judge), chill with a drink from the bar stocked with craft beers, cold soda, and summer cocktails, and let the chill vibes roll. It’s laid-back, it’s tasty, and it fuels your ride (or your recovery).

And Soon… A Floating Aqua Park for the Kiddos and the Young at Heart

Yep, you heard right — returning soon is a massive inflatable aqua park, floating right on the lake. Think bouncing, sliding, climbing, splashing — basically an American Ninja Warrior course made of floaties. It’s perfect for the little ones, but also guaranteed to bring out the inner 12-year-old in everyone. Expect chaotic fun and plenty of water fails for your IG stories.

Oh, and a Freakin’ Bonfire Setup for Those Late-Night Lakeside Hangs

As the sun dips and the golden hour hits, this place levels up. They’ve got a dedicated bonfire zone where you can gather your squad, roast some marshmallows, crack open a cold one, and vibe under the stars. Music, good convos, warm flames, and maybe a guitar if someone’s got the skills — it’s the kinda lakeside memory you’ll talk about all winter.

Never Tried Wakeboarding? Here’s the Lowdown

Wakeboarding is like surfing and snowboarding had a baby… and then strapped it to a cable. You glide, you shred, you crash (a little), and you laugh a lot. The water is crystal clear, so clear you can see the bottom of the lake as you cruise. It’s all good vibes, beginner-friendly, and starts around 79 PLN.

Pro tip: You can book online right here → wakespot.pl/rezerwacje
Wanna go big with your squad? DM Paweł on Insta with your party idea — people are booking this place for birthdays, bachelor hangs, and just unforgettable evenings with sauna, wakeboarding, BBQ and sunset beers.

Getting There = Easy

Honestly, don’t even bother with a car. Just grab the train from Poznań Główny to Owińska, ride for about 20 minutes, hop off, and you’re 4 minutes away from paradise. Yup, that’s not a typo — you’re soaking up rays and touching lake water before most of your friends finish their coffee.

Why We’re Hyped

This ain’t just a lake with a cable. Wake Spot has a vibe. It’s built by locals, backed by the community, and loaded with love. Thanks to the support of local authorities, there’s also a public beach, and events throughout the summer that pull in thousands of people. It’s got that “am I still in Poznań?” feeling that we’re always chasing.

Up Next…

We’ll be sitting down with Paweł real soon to bring you an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview, as well as reviewing the wakeboarding, but until then, do yourself a favor and bookmark Wake Spot for your next sunny escape and wakeboarding fun. Trust us, this is the summer spot you didn’t know you needed until now.

Insta it, book it, tell your crew — and get out there before the secret’s out. This ain’t just a wake park — it’s Poznań’s own little summer paradise.
