Recently opened ‘Posto’ has pioneered a new category in gastronomy. We call it ‘Casual Premium’.

Nestled within the historic Koscielna43 complex on Kościelna Street, recently opened (beg 2024) Posto beckons food enthusiasts to savor a culinary experience. Firstly the building. The Koscielna43 complex, is steeped in the echoes of the past, and traces its origins back to the 18th century when it was inhabited by German settlers from the Bamberg area. Their presence, a testament to the special invitation extended by the church and city authorities of Poznań between 1719-1753, lends an aura of historical significance to this charming locale. Yes, this really is in Jezyce!

Posto emerges as a beacon of culinary excellence within this storied backdrop. Here, flavors, aromas, and an inviting atmosphere converge to craft an unforgettable dining experience that we have been told does absolute justice to the legacy of the building. We can tell you, thet stepping into Posto, we were transported from the bustling streets of Poznań to a realm where time seems to stand still, and the art of gastronomy takes center stage.

The menu at Posto is also a testament to the passion and dedication of its culinary artisans, who draw inspiration from European cuisine while infusing each dish with unique, locally-sourced ingredients. From tantalizing appetizers to sumptuous main courses and decadent desserts, every creation is a masterpiece crafted with care and precision. The menu we saw is short with interesting options such as the tantalizing Polenta aioli adorned with black garlic and emilgrana, priced at 36 PLN. This creamy delight sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. Alternatively, indulge in the comforting embrace of the French onion soup, elevated with the addition of baked Wielkopolska fried cheese and croutons, offered at 28 PLN. The duck also looks delicious with chicory and a beurre blanc sauce!

For those seeking culinary innovation, the Eggplant dish offers a symphony of flavors with its butter sauce, capers, and tomato, priced at 41 PLN. However, in our opinion, the true pièce de résistance awaits in the form of the Sturgeon, accompanied by saffron sauce, grapefruit, raisins, and fennel, priced at 70 PLN. This exquisite creation is a testament to Posto’s commitment to culinary excellence.

We have also heard that their Profiteroles adorned with chocolate sauce and cherries are to die for and a steal at just 28.00 zł. With its charming ambiance and exquisite cuisine, Posto promises an unforgettable dining experience. It seems that Posto has pioneered a new category in gastronomy, which they call “Casual Premium,” offering the sophistication of premium dining without the stiffness of a fine dining restaurant. We can’t wait to check the menu first hand. Watch this space!
