Our top picks for the best beaches in and around Poznan
Summer’s creeping in — and it’s time to get back to the water.
We’ve rounded up 10 beaches in and around Poznań for 2026 — each with its own vibe, all worth the trip.
No overthinking. Just pick your spot and go.
Let’s get into it.
10. Pamiątkowo
Just outside Rokietnica, Pamiątkowo is a low-key summer escape — forest, sandy beach, clean water.
They’ve added a pier, pedal boats, changing rooms — everything you need.
Only catch? Getting there isn’t the smoothest ride — expect a rough forest road, especially if you’re driving.

Place 9. Zborowo (Dopiewo commune)
Zborowo on Lake Niepruszewskie is more than just a swim spot — it’s a full summer setup. Marina, pier, volleyball courts, playground, even nature info boards.
It’s mostly grassy, so not your classic sandy beach vibe — but everything else is dialled in.
Big plus: easy parking right next to the water.

Access to the parking is only partly paved — not perfect, but workable.
In summer, especially weekends, Zborowo gets busy.
If you’re staying nearby, there are plenty of new residential spots around — especially in Dąbrówka and Dopiewiec, including the Leśna Polana estate area with ongoing developments.
Place 8. Owińska (Czerwonak commune)
Tropicana Lake in Owińska is an artificial spot, so don’t expect wild nature — but it’s packed with activity.
There’s a water ski and wakeboard lift, plus a guarded sandy beach with rentals, playground, changing rooms, showers, and a volleyball court. Even a bar with fast food if you stay hungry.
The vibe is a bit unexpected too — palm trees, reed umbrellas, even giraffes in the “decor.”
Just note: entry is paid.

7. Mosina, Przystanek Glinianki
Glinianki in Mosina is a solid glow-up story — former clay pits turned into a proper summer spot.
Now you’ve got a guarded sandy beach, warm water, changing rooms, walking paths, bivouac shelters, and even a high observation tower with views over the area.
There are info boards too, tying it into the nearby Wielkopolski National Park.
All in all — more than just a swim spot, it’s a full green escape just outside Poznań.

6. Kiekrz Beach
Kiekrz Beach near Poznań might be small, but it’s been seriously upgraded thanks to the Plażojada project.
You’ll find a ship-style playground, benches, outdoor gym, cycling paths, a pier, and new facilities like toilets and a chill relaxation zone. There’s even a beach bar — Natura Bar — adding proper summer vibes.
It’s easy to reach, has parking, and some natural shade, which makes it a favourite for quick escapes.

5. Kórnik
The new promenade by Lake Kórnickie has become a go-to spot for easy family walks — not just for locals.
Right next to the Kórnicki Arboretum, the route is wide, cobbled, and well designed, with separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists, plus piers, a marina, and lighting along the way. You can stop at viewpoints, sit by the water, or grab a coffee with a lake view.
From April to September, there are even excursion boats running on the lake. And if you’re after a proper beach setup, the Oaza Błonie centre has a guarded beach, rentals, playground, and sports fields.

4. Chyby
Chyby on Lake Kierskie is one of those quieter spots just outside Poznań — more local, more low-key.
In summer, it’s mostly used by nearby residents, so you don’t get the usual crowds or noise. Tall trees give it natural shade, and the whole place has a calm, slow vibe that makes it easy to just switch off.
There are benches, nice views, and a solid swimming spot — plus a pier added in recent years by the Tarnowo Podgórne commune.

3. Strzeszynko Beach
Strzeszynek is basically the biggest urban beach in Poznań — and it’s been fully upgraded through the Plażojada project.
You’ve got a massive playground with zones for all ages, ropes course, mini trampolines, zip line, plus a solid outdoor gym. Add a renovated pier, promenade, cycling paths, and walking routes — it’s fully set up for a full day outside.
There are also cafés and food spots right by the beach, so you don’t need to leave once you’re there. And if you’re up for it, you can even cycle all the way to Lake Kierskie — a popular summer route between the two.

2. Lusowo
Lusowo is easily one of the best-prepared beaches in all of Wielkopolska.
You’ve got a wide sandy beach on Lake Lusowskie, plus a full setup: sports fields, water equipment rental, a new pier, playground, grilling spots, benches, toilets, and a food point right by the water.
And if you want more options, just a short walk away in Lusowo you’ll find restaurants like Stara Wozownia, Val di Sole, and a local pizzeria.

From Lusowo beach, you can straight up hop on a cycling route around Lake Lusowskie — a scenic, well-marked trail that runs right from the shore.
In season, the beach is guarded, with a large parking lot right next to it and fully paved access, making it one of the more convenient spots around.
It’s a solid family-friendly setup in nature — just expect one thing in summer: on holiday weekends, it can get busy.
1. Powidz – Our best beach close to Poznan for 2025
Sand like the sea, water so clear it almost doesn’t feel local. Lake Powidzkie — the biggest in Wielkopolska — honestly hits like something abroad.
With over 1000 hectares of space, it’s built for full-on summer mode: sailing, kayaking, diving, SUP — everything’s here thanks to active rentals and charter companies.
And it keeps getting better. A promenade for walkers and cyclists was built back in 2013 and is still being extended along the lake.

You’ve got solid food options on site too — especially Jabłona Restaurant, with a terrace looking straight over the more intimate beach.
Along the shoreline, there are a few public beaches to choose from, some nicely shaded in summer when the sun hits hard. The main guarded beach is the most popular pick, with well-kept parking close by.
Easy access, good setup, and nature all around — honestly one of our favourite escapes near Poznań for 2026, even with the 85 km drive.
