The Lowdown
Straight outta Japan, Daisuke Maki runs Haikara, a 10-seater gem in Jeżyce that’s got local foodies buzzing! Specializing in Japanese curry, this spot’s serving up one of the most unique menus around, and if that’s not enough, they’re serving some fire Japanese cocktails too.

With 10 killer cocktails on deck, you’re spoiled for choice! Owner Daisuke Maki’s got the game down, mixing, shaking, and pouring Japanese cocktails like a pro.
Pair one of those bad boys with his mouth-watering dishes, and trust us—you won’t find a better vibe in Poznań. Check out some of our top picks below!
Tokyo Vibes
First up, we’ve got the Kamikaze. Yeah, it’s named after the Japanese navy squadron, but it was actually born in the States. Think vodka, sweet white curacao, and sour lime, all over ice.

Next up is the Yuzu Sour. Ever heard of CHU-HI? It’s a big deal in Japan—a fruity, boozy mix. Their Yuzu Sour’s a nod to that, blending vodka (Poland’s go-to) with yuzu jam juice from Japan. Toss in some mint and a splash of sparkling water, and boom—you’ve got Haikara in a glass. The ultimate mashup of East meets West!

Matcha Madness
Next up for all you Matcha junkies, meet the Matcha Tiramisu. Japan basically looked at the dessert and said, “Cool story, Italy—now watch this.” What came out is straight-up cocktail sorcery: cognac, milk, kuromitsu (that dark, silky sugar syrup), mascarpone, and cream — all crowned with a cloud of fine matcha dust. It’s smooth, boozy, and dangerously addictive.

Next up — Matcha Beer. Yeah, you read that right — Japanese beer blended with legit matcha tea. Sounds like something a mad scientist would brew in Tokyo after a long night out, but trust us… it works. It’s smooth, a little earthy, a little bitter, and somehow still refreshing as hell. One sip and you’re like, “Wait—why does this actually work?”

East Meets Fresh
Second from last, we’ve got the Yuzu Mojito — born in the streets of Havana but reborn with a Japanese soul. That splash of yuzu juice hits different — sharp, citrusy, and clean — like a slap of freshness to the face (in the best way).

And last on our list is the Seiryu—sake mixed with lemon and lime for a super refreshing, wake-you-up kinda combo. Go grab one of these, or dive into something else on the menu.
