The Lowdown
We linked up with Piotr “Mysza” Myszkowski out at Kiekrz Lake, just a quick ride from Poznań, where he’s getting ready to launch another season of flying over water. But don’t get it twisted—Mysza Surf isn’t your average surf school. This is where Polish windsurfing legacy meets futuristic WingFoil vibes.
Founded by his dad, Grzegorz “Mysza” Myszkowski—Poland’s first Olympic windsurfer—this spot is all about passing the torch. Now Piotr’s out here keeping the name alive, riding higher than ever.
We caught up with him lakeside to talk gear, guts, and how to float like a boss.

The Interview
Q: Yo Piotr, WingFoiling’s still kinda fresh in Poland. What made you hop on it so early?
Mysza: ‘Cause I’m a bad motherfu…’ 😏 Nah but for real, I saw where the wind was blowing—literally. It’s the future of water sports. It’s wild, it’s free, and it’s fast. Once I tried it, I knew I was hooked.
Q: What’s harder—surfing or WingFoil?
At first? Windsurfing for sure. You’ve got a sail fixed to a board, and you need less wind to get going. WingFoil’s got a learning curve, but once you’re up and flying, it actually feels easier. The wing is in your hands—not stuck to the board—so it’s way more dynamic. You float above the water, almost like flying.
Q: How many lessons does it take to levitate?
To start hovering like a Jedi? Give it 5 to 10 hours, depending on how you roll.

Q: So… can I learn in two days?
Haha, technically? Yeah. But don’t burn out—two hours a day is my go-to if you’re rushing. You’ll thank me later.
Q: Your dad was an Olympic windsurfer—are you trying to follow that path?
Nah, my pro career days are behind me. I’m a bit too old to chase that dream now. Plus, WingFoil ain’t even in the Olympics… yet. But hey, I still hit the World Championships, so I’m not just chillin’.

Q: Be real—can I go flying into the sky on a WingFoil if I lose control?
Only if you’re really trying to. There’s a limit. I think the world record for airtime is around 15 meters.

Q: And your personal best?
I’ve flown about 5-6 meters high. That’s like launching off a second-story window. You feel it in your soul.
Q: If I get addicted and wanna buy a board—what’s the damage?
Used gear? 7-8k PLN. New toys start at 12k PLN, and if you want the Ferrari of foils, it can hit 50k.

Q: How long’s a lesson?
Standard WingFoil sesh is 60 mins, but your first time’s 2 hours—we go deep into the basics.
Q: Kiekrz Lake’s your home turf. How deep we talkin’?
Deep enough to lose your flip-flops forever—about 35 meters at its deepest point.

Q: Why’s it called ‘Mysza’ Surf?
Simple. My last name’s Myszkowski. My dad’s nickname was Mysza. Mine too. It’s tradition—no brainer.
Q: Be honest—do you wish Poland was 25°C all year round?
Haha, hell yeah. But on the plus side, the season’s getting longer—global warming’s making waves.
Q: What do you get up to in the winter?
I run surf camps abroad where it’s sunny and sweet. But I’m also a ski instructor, so I stay active all year.

Q: Who’s the oldest person you’ve taught to WingFoil?
Would you believe me if I said 82 years old? Legend.
Q: Best place to ride in Poland?
For foiling—Gdańsk Bay is lit. For straight-up surfing or kite? Head to Hel.
Q: And around the world?
So many spots… but my dream? Hawaii. That’s where this whole thing was born.
Q: What kind of speeds we talkin’?
Casual cruise is around 20-25 km/h, but push it hard, and you can fly. My personal top speed? 65 km/h. Feels like breaking the sound barrier.
Q: What’s the best way to book a lesson with you?
Hit me up on Instagram or Facebook, give me a call on 608 136 810, or shoot an email on biuro@myszasurf.pl. I keep it all open.
Q: Be honest… do people look sexier in wetsuits?
Haha, women for sure!
Q: Even the chonky ones?
Haha… no comment, bro. 😅
Q: What’s the hardest thing to master?
Balance. It’s everything. Once that clicks, the rest flows.

Q: When’s the season kick off?
End of April. We’re gearing up now, and yeah—we’ve got some sweet promos dropping soon. Check our socials.
Q: Alright man, mad respect. One last thing—I gotta ask… is this the kinda job that attracts girls?
Haha, I got a girlfriend, so I don’t play that game—but let’s just say… water sports don’t hurt.
If you haven’t tried WingFoiling or surfing yet, this summer is your sign to get wet, fly high, and shake off the office dust. Book a lesson, catch a breeze, and when you roll up to Mysza Surf, say hi to Piotr from us when you get there!
