Short-Term Rentals in Poznań? We Tested Dom Książki Apartments — And We’re Impressed!

Hey Poznan!

Alright, folks — you’ve been sliding into our DMs asking the same thing: “Where can I find a good short-term rental in Poznań?” And fair question — because unless you plan to sell a kidney for a hotel or get ghosted by an Airbnb host with a “great view of a brick wall,” options are kinda thin on the ground.

But hey, this is Poznań Daily, and we got you covered as always. Not only did we find you short-term rentals, but these babies are in one of the best locations in town — right in the beating heart of Poznań — and the quality? Let’s just say it’s giving five-star-hotel-meets-designer-loft vibes.

We’re talking about the legendary Dom Książki on ul. Gwarna 13a. Yeah, that one. The white modernist beauty crowned with neon glory. Built in 1975, neglected for years, and now reborn thanks to Constructa Plus — like a phoenix, but make it architectural.

The Apartments

Inside? Forty freshly renovated, fully furnished apartments across six floors, stacked full of books thanks to the bookshop connection downstairs and hey, the building is named Dom Książki after all ( House of books for those that dont yet speak the local lingo). We’re talking studio flats around 28m² and one-bedroom apartments up to 42m² — all sparkling new as of 2025. Some are already snapped up, but some are still waiting for their first-ever tenants (and nothing beats that brand-new-apartment smell — it’s like a new car, but without the insurance payments).

Naturally, we didn’t just take their word for it. We moved in for a weekend sleepover to see if it really lived up to the hype. And yeah… we’re low-key considering breaking our lease and staying there permanently.

Wow!

We got the top-floor 42m² one-bedroom, and man — that view. It’s not a view, it’s a Panorama Power Move. You can basically see half the city while pretending to be productive with your morning coffee.

The kitchen? Has everything — oven, fridge, dishwasher, even that mysterious drawer no one knows what it’s for. The kind of setup that makes you think you’ll cook, even though we all know you’re ordering in.
The living room has one of those sofas with the leg rest extension thing — we love that. Perfect for Netflix marathons or existential crises.

The bedroom? We’re pretty sure that was a king-size bed because we lost each other in there at least twice.

The bathroom? Walk-in shower big enough to do cartwheels in.
And yes, it’s got aircon, because nothing says “Poznań summer” like melting in style.

Location

And location? Forget it — it’s unbeatable. You’re literally above one of the city’s hottest new restaurants, Strona, which means “page” (because it’s inside Dom Książki, get it?). We’ve already interviewed their head chef Paweł Salamon, and expect also a full food report soon. The breakfasts are chef’s kiss, lunches keep you going, and dinners might just make you fall in love — with food or whoever’s sitting across from you.

Step outside and you’ve got trams zipping past, shops, cafés, even a church around the corner in case you need to repent for overspending at Stary Browar.

Rooftop Garden

And for those long summer nights (yes, they do exist here), there’s a rooftop garden exclusively for tenants — decked out with comfy furniture, killer views, and word on the street is they throw events up there too. You can’t spell “community” without “rooftop prosecco,” right?

Prices start around 2500 PLN and go up to around 4000 PLN, depending on size, floor, and how much skyline you want in your selfies. Considering the quality, location, and vibes — it’s actually a steal.

Wrapping Up

So yeah, if you’re looking for a short-term rental, a new home, or just an excuse to live in style for a few months — this is your spot. We might just bump into you there.
