Meet the Trainer Who Turns Regular Poznań Folks Into Athletes (Even Football Clubs Trust Him)

We’ve been on a roll lately at Poznań Daily, hunting down the city’s best trainers to help you get your fitness levels on point. Because let’s be real – some of you are still out here calling “walking to Żabka” cardio. It’s time to go deeper than just a few crunches and a sad jog around Malta Lake. We’re talking real gains: strength, speed, power, endurance – the stuff that separates weekend warriors from actual athletes.

And for that, we found our guy: Dariusz Walasek.

Certified personal and motor skills trainer, graduate of the Academy of Physical Education, worked with the Warta Poznań Academy, and currently with the Poznańska 13 Poznań club. Translation: the dude literally makes football players faster, stronger, and harder to knock over.

Hold up… what’s “motor skills training”?

Glad you asked, because half of you just pictured kids learning how to ride a scooter. Motor skills training is basically the science of teaching your body to move better, stronger, and more efficiently. While your standard trainer might count your squats and shout “one more rep!”, a motor skills coach fine-tunes things like coordination, acceleration, agility, explosiveness, and stamina. It’s like the difference between owning a Fiat Panda and upgrading to an Audi RS – same driver, way more horsepower.

Business, not Instagram

We met Dariusz for a quick coffee just around the corner from his studio FORTO STUDIO on Mansfelda 4, tucked above a theatre. Don’t expect neon lights or selfie mirrors here. This isn’t one of those “Insta-gyms” where people spend more time posing than sweating. This is business first: a space built to work, not to flex (except your muscles).

How Dariusz works his magic

He and his experienced crew offer a range of training formats – personal, motor, group (2-3 people), hybrid, and online. Prices start at 80 PLN, which is about what you’d blow on a pizza and a couple of beers – except here you get abs.

He keeps it structured:

  • Consultation & diagnostics → find out what your body’s capable of.
  • Personalized plan → none of that “copy-paste workout from YouTube” nonsense.
  • Implementation → whether in the studio, hybrid, or online, he makes sure you stick to it.

Oh, and if you’re still not convinced – the guy works with sports clubs, analyzing data from GPS trackers, designing training loads, and prepping players for peak performance. If he’s good enough for Poznań’s football teams, he’s probably good enough for your desk-job back pain and “beer belly season.”
