Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Botox (But Were Too Afraid to Ask)

Agata studied medicine in Poznań, followed by a year-long internship, and then dove head-first into the world of aesthetics. We caught up with her for a little chat (and let’s be honest, we had a lot of questions). She squeezed us in between clients, and here’s how it went…

The Interview

Hi Agata. Let’s get straight to it: How much does Botox cost?
It depends, but around 350 PLN per area — for example, the forehead. A full face is about 1700 PLN.

And how long does it last?
Roughly six months.

Prices for lips, cheeks, and an eye refresh?
Lips – 800 PLN, cheeks – anywhere from 2500 to 5000 PLN, and an eye refresh – around 500 PLN.

And the one question we all want to know. Is Botox dangerous?

Not when it’s done properly by someone trained and experienced. Botox has been used in aesthetic medicine for decades and is one of the most studied and regulated treatments out there. Like anything, if it’s abused or injected incorrectly — yes, it can go wrong. That’s why it’s super important to go to someone who understands facial anatomy, not just how to hold a syringe. When used sensibly and with care, Botox is very safe. It’s about subtle improvements, not freezing your face into a mask.

What’s your favourite procedure to perform?
Definitely lips. It makes a huge difference and feels artistic.

Ever messed up?
Hahaha, not anymore! But during training, I once gave someone an eyedrop — thankfully it’s all reversible. She had signed up as a training model… so, she knew the risks! (Sorry if you’re reading this!)

What’s your take on overdone faces? How do you help clients avoid that?
I refuse treatments if someone already has too much. Or I offer to dissolve fillers and start fresh.

Ever had to be real with someone and say “enough is enough”?
Absolutely. Sometimes it’s needed.

What’s your opinion on preventative Botox — and what even is that?
It’s a yes from me! It’s about stopping wrinkles before they become deep. You treat the muscles early, and it prevents the lines from forming in the first place.

Best tip to keep your results fresh and natural?

Lifestyle! Hydration and sun protection. Always.

Trends you love right now in aesthetics?
Anti-aging skin boosters. Think of them as supplements for your skin — minimal procedure, big results.

How do you deal with clients who come in with unrealistic expectations?
Happens all the time. They bring photos of celebrities and expect me to recreate them in one day!

Which celebs do people most want to look like?

Haha, Angelina Jolie is a big one. For men, it’s the Brad Pitt jawline!

Any treatments you offer that people might not know about?
Yes!

It’s great! We help each other. I even run his social media. Only issue? He gets annoyed when I steal his assistant. 😅

Did you practice on friends and family when you were training?
Of course! They all got free treatments. Word spread quickly and it got a bit wild!

You look amazing yourself — do you get anything done?

Thank you! I use preventative Botox, Dermapen microneedling, under-eye boosters… I’m still young, so no full Botox yet.

Who does your treatments?

Me! I do it myself.

Does your dad get free treatments hahaha?

Sure!

Do you catch yourself analyzing people’s faces in public?
All the time. I can’t switch it off!

Any funny reactions from clients?
One woman cried — not from pain, but because she loved the results so much… and then felt guilty. It was very sweet.

Would you rather give up lips or coffee forever?
Hahaha! Lips. I live on coffee.
