Poznań, meet Raban—your newest obsession and the city’s only ‘bike cafe’ mashup. Embarrassing to admit, but we had no clue Poznań had a bike cafe! Located on Nowiejskiego Street off Plac Wolności, Raban has been turning heads since it opened in late August 2023. It’s not just a spot to grab a coffee; it’s a bistro, a coffee shop, and a bike service center all rolled into one rad hangout.
Love on Two Wheels ❤️
This all started with a love story. Kinga, a restaurant manager, and Piotr, a bike messenger, hit it off at Kinga’s previous gig. Piotr’s most legendary delivery? A kidney from the airport—seriously epic! Add Kacper, who worked with Kinga back in the day, and you’ve got the dream team behind Raban. Their shared love for bikes and food birthed this one-of-a-kind spot.
Polish-Asian Fusion Flavor Bombs 🌯🍜
Raban’s menu is short but straight fire, mixing Polish and Asian flavors in a way that’ll blow your mind. Their Szagówki—Polish potato dumplings—are a crowd favorite, decked out with seasonal toppings that keep things fresh. Don’t sleep on the Sour Milk Przaśnaki BLT either—an open-faced BLT on pancakes that’s pure brunch heaven. Wok dishes among others are also on the menu! We cant wait to come back and write about them soon!
And the prices? Totally chill, ranging from 20-40 PLN. Pair your meal with craft and regional beers or sip on signature cocktails like the BRONX and CAIPIROSKA.
Bikes & Brews Combo 🍻🔧
Raban’s bike service setup is as slick as its menu. Roll in, and Piotr’s workstation is right there on the left. Get your bike tuned up while you sip on a cocktail—genius, right? Piotr’s in the house every Monday from 11am to midnight and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm to midnight. Kitchen’s closed during these times, but the bar’s popping with all your fave drinks.
Your New Go-To Spot 🎯
We’re hyped to try everything on Raban’s menu and spill the tea on our top picks. The CAIPIROSKA is rumored to be killer, so you know we’re on that. But don’t wait for us—head over to Raban, check it out, and drop your thoughts in the comments. This place redefines what a cafe can be, one bike and one bite at a time.
