On August 30, an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to one of the most enigmatic and influential artists of our time, Banksy, will open in Hall 1 of the Poznań International Fair (MTP) at ul. Głogowska. Titled “The Mystery of BANKSY – A Genius Mind,” this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to delve into the world of the British artist who has revolutionized street art. Banksy, born in Bristol, is an anonymous graffiti artist known for his works that transcend traditional art boundaries and often comment on contemporary political and social issues. His irony-laden creations have garnered global acclaim. The first exhibition on Banksy was held in Munich in March 2021, attracting over 1.8 million visitors across cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, and Stockholm.

The Poznań exhibition “The Mystery of BANKSY – A Genius Mind” is a must-see for street art enthusiasts. It features over 150 diverse pieces, including graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations, and prints on materials like canvas, fabric, aluminum, FOREX®, and plexiglass. Curated by Virginia Jean, a renowned designer and street art expert, every element of the exhibition is meticulously chosen and harmoniously integrated.

Oliver Forster, the exhibition producer from COFO Exhibitions, highlights the immense challenge of organizing such a monumental showcase. “We aimed to gather the most outstanding and impactful themes in one place, creating a relaxed atmosphere outside the conventional museum setting while maintaining the highest quality standards,” says Forster. The exhibition will be bilingual (PL/EN) and accessible to wheelchair users.

Banksy, despite remaining anonymous, is a pivotal figure in contemporary art. His works often address social and political issues, compelling viewers to think deeply. He has permanently etched his mark on the urban art landscape, reaching a broad audience, whether familiar with his work or not.

Admission to the exhibition is paid, but children up to 6 years old can enter free of charge (maximum two children per adult). Discounted tickets are available for students up to 26 years old, seniors over 65, and people with disabilities. The last entry is one hour before closing, with an approximate viewing time of 1.5 hours. Tickets are priced at 69 PLN.
