Bangaliana: Poznan’s New and only Bengali Restaurant Experience

Embark on a gastronomic journey at Bangaliana, a recent addition to Poznan’s culinary scene, owned by the visionary Anurag Ahmed Anik. Nestled in the suburbs at Szczepankowo 26, this cozy haven invites you to savor the rich and exotic taste of Bangladesh, a dream that Anik turned into reality after yearning for the flavors of his homeland.

Opened in late 2023, Bangaliana is more than just a restaurant; it’s an immersive experience where locals and families gather to chat, play games, and relish the authenticity of Bangladeshi cuisine. Anticipating the warmer months, the establishment boasts an outdoor seating area, providing a unique experience where guests can sit with folded legs at ground-level tables, immersing themselves fully in the ambiance. Anik perpetually innovates, ensuring a diverse array of offerings that authentically capture the essence of his rich heritage.

At the forefront of their culinary delights is the Mutton Biriyani, a signature dish priced at 35 PLN. This masterpiece combines tender mutton, aromatic spices, and fragrant Basmati rice. Slow-cooked to perfection and marinated with a blend of traditional spices, the dish is garnished with fried onions and fresh coriander, making it a cherished delicacy perfect for festive occasions or a memorable family meal.

Another culinary gem is the Coconut Duck, where succulent duck meat meets the rich taste of coconut. Cooked in a luscious coconut-based curry or sauce, this dish delivers a fusion of creamy and tropical flavors, creating a hearty and satisfying experience. The Bhuna, featuring chunks of selected spiced ingredients, stewed with caramelized onions, tomatoes, and a blend of traditional Bangladeshi flavors, stands out for its delicious and unique profile.

Located just a short distance from Kinopolis and a few kilometers away from the Old Town, Bangaliana is a hidden gem worth the brief journey. As the sole Bangladeshi restaurant in Poznań, it has become a standout destination, capturing the attention of the Indian community and establishing itself as the go-to spot for an authentic experience. Our first visit was an enchanting introduction, and without a doubt, we’ll be back for more!
