After a search, we can confidently say that we have found the only restaurant in a park in downtown Poznan. What better than eating out surrounded by autumn leaves and colors yet still in the city center? Furthermore, you will find yourself in close proximity to passing trains, adding to the ambiance and creating an even more remarkable and distinctive atmosphere in one of Poznan’s best restaurants!

The New Nastawnia Restaurant is a hidden gem nestled within Henryk Wieniawski Park, conveniently located near the Theater Bridge at 12 Noskowskiego Street. This charming dining establishment offers two inviting guest rooms, and during the summer months, it extends its hospitality to include a spacious covered terrace and a garden that lies in close proximity to the adjacent railway tracks. Notably, the restaurant finds its abode within a historic edifice, which celebrates its 110th anniversary this year. It once served as Poznań’s inaugural signal box, known as “Poznań Centrum.” After a temporary closure due to the pandemic, the building was rejuvenated as the New Railway Switchyard in January this year under its new proprietor, Anna Kotus, who also owns the catering and event company Wytwórnia Smaq.

Even the notorious Kawu‘s artwork has appeared in early November 2023 on the side of the restaurant drawing people to the area and restaurant. First emerging on Poznań’s street art circuit a few years ago, Kawu’s output has rapidly won him an army of followers. Now boasting over 60,000 fans on Instagram alone, his portfolio has been applauded for both its humor and intelligence. We recommend you go and visit his latest work!

The New Nastawnia Restaurant warmly welcomes guests from Tuesday through Sunday, offering an all-encompassing menu. You’ll discover delectable options for breakfast, lunch, tapas, delectable desserts, a dedicated children’s menu, and a delightful selection of regional craft beers and beverages. Delving into the menu, you’ll find an array of culinary treasures sourced from diverse European regions. From the classic Polish breakfast of scrambled eggs to Hungarian street food delight, Langosz; Spanish chorizo infused with cider, Greek feta baked to perfection with tomato jam, and an assortment of other delectable dishes to tempt your palate.

Two notable recommendations from their culinary repertoire are as follows: Beef Cheek Braised in Red Wine: Indulge in a sumptuous dish featuring beef cheeks meticulously stewed in a medley of vegetables, herbs, and red wine. The result is a rich demi-glace sauce that generously coats the tender, slow-braised meat, rendering it incredibly soft and succulent.

Next, you should ask about the Salmon Sous Vide with Herbs and Lemon: Savor a salmon fillet cooked to perfection at low temperature, infused with the zesty essence of grated lemon peel. This meticulous preparation method infuses the fish with both flavor and aroma, leaving it exceptionally tender and juicy.

Additionally, explore the culinary wonders of their Risotto with Roasted Cauliflower and Yeast Flakes, a vegetarian delight, where the flavors and aroma are masterfully crafted through the puree of roasted cauliflower cooked in a velvety blend of cream and milk, further accentuated with the umami-rich yeast flakes.
