Nooks has been operating in Wilda for a few years now and just received a deserved mention by the Michelin guide in 2023. The owners are Marta and Adam, a married couple who spent several years gaining experience in managerial positions in other establishments, and now create on their own terms. Nooks is the fulfillment of their dreams and the fruit of their hard work. The main idea was to create a surf and turf-based cuisine from world inspirations. They combine seafood with meat, and they have several vegan items to choose from also. They rely on seasonal and fresh products, so every week you will find newly created dishes in different configurations.
In addition to a well-composed wine list, you will also find some great cocktails. The drink card was actually arranged by their friend Kasia Krakowiak, a bartender with extensive experience and the winner of many competitions.
When it comes to drinks then definitely try their Mojito. Classically on rum with mint, but they decided on a different, more elegant edition. The Japan sour is a refreshing drink based on vodka and yuzu. When choosing dishes from the menu that reference Asian cuisine, be sure to choose this cocktail. Finally, we love the Whisky sour. A refreshing whiskey cocktail!
With so many amazing options it was hard to choose our favorite dishes but the Ceviche scallop definitely stood out. As did the Tuna steak on a creamy risotto with Asian mushrooms and crispy leek Simple and exciting and of course delicious!
We also recommend the ravioli with shrimp and pork, wine and butter sauce with sage, dried egg yolk, and freeze-dried raspberry. Delicious!
If you’re wondering about a starter then try the Panko-cured beef tongue with plum hoisin, marinated fennel, and black garlic. OMG!
