Where can you have an outdoor BBQ in a public place legally in Poznan?

With warmer weather around the corner, many Poznań residents are eager to host outdoor barbecues. However, before planning such an event, it’s essential to identify legal barbecue spots in the city. While Poznań boasts numerous parks and green areas, many have regulations prohibiting barbecuing. This presents a challenge for those without private outdoor spaces but eager to enjoy a barbecue with friends and family.

One popular spot is the Warta River area, favored by students and centrally located with excellent transportation links. Designated picnic areas are dotted along the river so take the time to find them as you are next to the river. Lighting a barbecue in restricted areas will result in fines underscoring the importance of finding designated zones where barbecuing is permitted.

Lake Strzeszynek and Lake Rusałka provide serene barbecue areas by the water, perfect for enjoying nature’s tranquility. Away from the city buzz, Lasek Marceliński, Polana na Dębina, and Polana w Zieliniec offer peaceful clearings for barbecues or bonfires. Lake Malta, closer to the city center, features designated barbecue spots, easily accessible via public transport. Enjoy!
