Verdict Handed Down for Teens Who Brutally Killed Homeless Man in Poznan: How many years did they get in prison?

Today, the District Court delivered a verdict for two teenagers involved in the heinous murder of a homeless man in October 2022. The incident, which sent shockwaves through the community, occurred when the victim’s body was discovered in an abandoned building, revealing signs of a brutal beating.

The court heard that the two 18-year-old suspects had been drinking and recording videos for social media when they encountered the homeless man. They subjected him to a prolonged assault, inflicting fatal injuries over a span of 40 minutes.

During the trial, the prosecution sought a 25-year prison sentence for both defendants, while the defense argued for lesser charges. Today, the court condemned their actions as extremely violent, noting the use of weapons and additional acts of humiliation. Despite their young age, the court imposed sentences of 15 and 13 years for the defendants, highlighting the severity of their actions and the need for accountability.
