Teen With Fake Gun Causes Mayhem in Downtown Poznań at 5AM

05:00

Yo Poznań — what was happening this morning?!

At the ungodly hour of 5:00 a.m., downtown turned into a low-budget action movie set when a young dude whipped out what looked like a legit firearm and started waving it around like he was in Bad Boys 3. He was out here “aiming at the air and the surroundings” like that makes it better.

Luckily, someone at the city monitoring center was wide awake and clocked the whole thing on camera. The operator hit up the cops ASAP, and just minutes later, two patrols rolled up and shut the whole show down. Both the wannabe action hero and his partner-in-crime were cuffed on Święty Marcin Street and hauled off to the station.

But wait, there’s more.
Turns out, these two future Oscar winners also took a break from gun-slinging to smash windows on the road barriers along Marcinkowskiego Avenue. Why? Who knows. Maybe it was part of their “script.” Maybe it was boredom. Maybe they just watched Scarface and said “Yeah, let’s do that.”

And for the record? The “gun” was a plastic-ball shooter. Yep. A toy. But in real life, nobody knows that until it’s too late — and these boys are lucky they didn’t get dropped by a real bullet.

Police confirmed they responded near Galeria MM and have now passed the case to the juvenile court and prosecutor’s office. One teen is 16, the other 18. So congrats, fellas — one of y’all might be starting adulthood with a criminal record. What a flex.

Our Opinion

We get it — movies are cool. Guns look cool in video games. But if your idea of a good time is faking a shootout on a busy street in 2025, maybe it’s time to unplug. At best, this was dumb. At worst, it could’ve ended with someone getting seriously hurt. Or worse.

So what should happen to them? Some say community service, others say mandatory acting classes (clearly they’re into drama). But one thing’s for sure — they need a serious wake-up call. Before the next fake gun turns into a real tragedy.
