A serious situation just went down in the Dębina district — and every parent, guardian, and streetwise soul in Poznań needs to be on high alert.

On Monday around 5:30 PM, three 13-year-old girls were walking near Ku Dębinie Street when a grown man confronted them out of nowhere.

What started as words quickly turned ugly. There was a scuffle between the man and one of the girls before he ran off like a coward, just before the police could show up.

The girls weren’t physically hurt, but the case is far from closed. Police are currently treating it as an assault, but they’ve also flagged the possibility of a sexual motive, considering their ages. Because of this, all three girls will soon give statements in court, under procedures designed to protect them and get the full truth.

Deputy Inspector Iwona Liszczyńska from the Poznań police made it clear:

“We want to be absolutely certain whether a sexual crime was committed here.”

Meanwhile, investigators are working hard to ID and hunt down this man before he strikes again. No one’s been arrested yet.
